Recently widowed salesgirl Alice and her daughter Katie are down to their last dime and last hour, desperately searching for the one thing that makes Christmas... well, Christmas! With time running out, they are determined to make the holidays special, so they hatch two secret plans, which soon send them hurtling towards disaster. Can a little Christmas magic save the day, and will this mother and daughter find what they are so desperately seeking?
